I've always had a soft spot for Halloween 3 and I'd probably appreciate Wallace's idea of a yearly riff on Halloween cliches versus the current drudge of "oh good, it's October, time for a new Paranormal Activity, Saw (is there a new Saw this year?) and some terrible sequel or remake of a classic."

Except the Golden Compass wasn't true to the book and was just awful. We'll wait for a respectable book adaptation of that with the promise of the full trilogy, not just an attempted cash-in.
