beat me to it fritzy poo! While andy sandberg is pretty useless in regular sketches, he and his awesemetown crew are freaking hilarious and their dig vids are pretty consistently enjoyable, if not down right funny. I've watched their pilot show more times than I can count.

end of the line, salma
i'm ready to see the end of her and Jack's relationship. I actually like Salma as an actress (her accent is still strong, so it can fuck up her delivery) and she gets the job done. But the well of ideas is dry. Not only has their relationship reached an impasse, it's clear the writers don't know

i love carla
but i have a hard on (wet-on?) for stefan too. I couldn't believe how much he fucked up tonight. Dude, how could you overcook the protein? The editing, especially the "confessional" type interviews, really messed with my head and I was sure he was going home because of how confidently they portrayed him.

ugh
I'll be missing out on Clive's "sad eyes and haunted intensity." Unfortunately, my theater is playing nothing but oscar noms, and "He's Just Not that Into You," (double UGH) this week.

1.) don't hate the playa, hate the game.

Oooh, double double posts! If you see these, you can wish for something!

thanks mbs, that sounds adorable and schmaltzy as hell.

"It happened One Night" is one of my all-time favorites. Their chemistry is palpable and the movie is still absolutely hilarious. The "fight" scene in the cabin is great, but the first time I saw this, I laughed for five minutes straight watching Gable trying to hitchhike a ride on the side of the road.

i'm wary of replying to thread started by "poop dick" but yeah, where the fuck is Harold and Maude? May-December romance is still romance! Was that just too obvious a choice, as opposed to Romeo and Juliet?

Watching thomas jefferson flip-off an audience for Maury, was an image I never knew I wanted to see until i saw it.

seduction is never impossible
I really loved how they paralleled Generalissimo and Liz's attempts at wooing, near the end of the episode. Especially since liz got her :seduction: techniques from a villain on a mexican telanovela. I've been avoiding Mad Men for some reason, maybe because I'm scared I won't like it. But

@ louis, i hope you're smoking before you watch the movies too or else what's the point?

That's true but while Dorothy and Blanche had a borderline "unnatural" relationship, it was way less obvious and I can't ever see them taking Sophia behind the hedge and…well… yknow.

I quit smoking about 3 times a day.

As soon as this bid is over, I'm calling this idiot and stealing the rest of his money.

it is hard not to like this movie
with bale, mcgregor and meyers playing lead roles. The cast, in general is fantastic, but I love it that the three leads are so desperate for extra credit by playing the "sexually ambiguous" card.

i haven't seen The Limey, but shit, i'm ready for the three after that! Heavenly Creatures is so gloriously fucked up.

not that I'm really complaining, but the first walker's taste test is pretty fresh in my memory. The exposition seemed really repetitious and unnecessary, but I suppose writers shouldn't always assume we've all been reading avclub since forever. Newbies gotta learn somehow.

jeff wasn't the only one to take the easy way out
Jaime picked San Fran, Leah chose New York and Carla did the south. One of the reasons I like stefan so much is that at least he's versatile. These people, are so predictable. I realize it's about strategy, but come on! Like Fabio said, this isn't called top scallop or

@ too ashamed.
