Can I just be the one guy to say Sit Down Shut Up got a lot better as it went along? One of the worst pilots I've ever seen turned into a pretty funny little show.

Ah, shit. I just ripped this comment off by mistake. That's how obvious a choice it is.

Tom Perrotta is one of my top five modern authors. The Abstinence Teacher is his weakest book. But it's still pretty solid, particularly in the characterization of the dude Carell is supposed to play. Can we get a Wishbones or Joe College movie though? Please?

Just Putting This Out There
Daisy from the Super Mario Brothers movie was at the gallery this week.

I was deeply saddened by its cancellation. That Ricky Gervais/Life and Times of Tim hour on Fridays this season was a fucking powerhouse.

So, it's gotta be Myq or Tommy, right? Maybe, possibly, Roy if he continues to have sets as strong as tonight's? Mike and Felipe continue to be one-note comedians with a decent joke or two peppering each performance and, with the exception of the that awesome "birds" joke, Jonathan grated a bit tonight.

I was going more for the Bob Seger reference than the Bob Ross reference, but I see where you're coming from.

Encore at least had "Mosh," which is better than anything on Relapse. But, jeez. I forgot about "Big Weenie." It's been a few years. Let's call it a draw.

"Cyndi! Cyndi! Um, you remember when Ziggy killed that duck by accident? That was hilarious, Cyndi."

She was supporting gay rights and seemed really super into it. So that's why she was on.

It started sucking really hard for a while but then it got better in the fourth season. But then it got cancelled.

Really? I thought Heart was completely unmemorable. Set Yourself on Fire, at least, is an album by a band that seems to be trying.

Nope, I completely agree with that list. And I'll toss his contributions to the 8 Mile soundtrack between Slim Shady and Eminem Show.

Heh. I didn't think I'd agree with you but I completely agree with you. Awesome.

No!
I REFUSE to believe that not a single Celebrity Apprentice question was asked! I'm going through withdrawal over here! I need to hear her rip on Holly Robinson Peete some more!

Anyone else?
Anyone else think a few of those Jew jokes that Kindler was complaining about were kind of funny? One or two of those guys made me laugh.

OC Reference Thread!!!
Um, remember that time Anna drew Seth a comic book for Christmas starring himself? But then Summer dressed up as Wonder Woman? That was pretty fun.

Remember That One Good Stars Song?
"Your Ex-Lover Is Dead." Yup. They're a one-song-on-the-iPod kinda band.

How Many?
How many tracks on this album are about how awesome he feels to be back and how he's gonna spit some real nice lyrics at us right about now? Because The Marshall Mathers LP has like seven of those.

Really? This post makes me happy, Sunglasses. The last Roots album I was truly impressed by was Phrenology, though Tipping Point and Game Theory had their moments.
