Velvet Goldmine
I used to watch it a lot, wanting to love it, but really feeling like it was a very pretty movie with cool music, but not a lot of substance. This was, like, 8 years ago, though, so my opinion could've changed. Has anyone else felt that way about it?

Yipes, I hadn't noticed the avatar till now. Now I'm unnerved. (OK, and I haven't even seen Audition, just seen a clip or two and had a friend describe it to me in detail. Maybe it's BECAUSE I haven't seen it, but just thinking about it completely creeps me out now.)

I've never seen the guy who plays Gene in anything besides Wet Hot… I love that he's on Law and Order and Oz, how incongruous. And yeah, he's amazing in that movie. I also particularly enjoy Coop's dancing in that clip above.

Trainspotting was the first place I heard "Perfect Day" and I fell in love with it. Good call on how perfect it is on the soundtrack. I can't hear the song without associating it with someone OD'ing, though.

Me and some friends went to a Pizza Hut Bistro for dinner last Valentine's Day and got heart-shaped pizza and bottles of wine. It was exactly right. If I were still single, I'd be planning on it again this year.
