On BSG's ending, I think that @avclub-0ebf8ab72300320714488d4aa61daa74:disqus was simply pointing out the stupidity of the ending we got, not that he actually believes that the writers intended the ending to be a time travel thing. IMHO a time travel ending would have been marginally less stupid that what we got. But

@avclub-23dc117ef9479407fb6c6a666005af40:disqus They're not on a planet, they're on the inside of a Dyson Sphere. Don't you watch the titles?

"My high school fight song"?

@avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus IIRC it was around 40 or 50. I'm pretty sure this was mentioned on screen somewhere in season 1. Which makes it even worse than if it had just been a backstage thing.

BIG SPOILERS

The whole "Minbari don't lie" thing seems to have been unthinkingly lifted from the Vulcans. It doesn't fit with anything else in their culture.

Oh, I'd say that "A View" is far, far worse than "Grey 17". Grey 17 is enjoyably goofy at times, has the Marcus/Neroon stuff, and has Freddy Kruger. A View has 2 painful stereotypes as leads and… I can't remember anything else. Maybe the effects were pretty good?

The randomness of the ATF supposedly being the most powerful government agency in America, as opposed to the CIA or FBI or NSA, is one of my favorite parts of season 4.

@avclub-9fda17cadd97a91b294831b496bcb3d0:disqus , and the only token objections to Sheridan we do get are from someone we later learn, or currently suspect, to be not quite himself. This always bothered me.

SPOILERS

Before being cooked, didn't the slaver mention something about several towns along Daenerys' intended route that are ripe for sacking?

Voyager bashing is always welcome!

Hmm, the vast military superiority of the Nebari never sat well with me.

Oh, entirely agreed on the 1st season @avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus . The 1st movie is definitely the best of the 1st season and I think one of the best things in the whole of Lexx.

Yes it's very uneven. but I think most of the crap is in the 2nd and 4th seasons (actually, having said that the 4th season is my second favorite after the 3rd). Might be good for one of those "10 best of" or whatever they're called if they don't want to do the whole series.

A couple of others have mentioned this in previous weeks and I'd like to add my vote as well: I'd be very interested in the avclub reviewing Lexx.

This said, I'd have to agree with the review that "Jeremiah Crichton" is far from the worst episode Farscape ever did. For me that's probably "A Prefect Murder", although "Taking the Stone" and "Coup by Clam" are also contenders.

I get the impression there was nothing wholesome about that smile. If you get my drift…

The big reveal that this is an abandoned Hynerian colony only barely makes sense

@avclub-774c4a3e756c4d8f28b15a27ed4408c7:disqus , well the oddness to me is the idea that high ranking naval officers would ever have been pilots. Then again I know jack shit about the military.
