"And the coroner was bitten."
"The coroner's dead??"
"No, his throat was… bitten. It was sort of… gnawed… on."

A suggestion was made about letting people get drunk and then beaming the alcohol out of their bloodstream. Now I'm imagining a metal detector-style archway over the entrance to Ten-Forward that instantly sobers you up as you leave.

Any excuse to watch it all over again!
Can I just say how excited I am to see you're going to be covering this show? That's all, really. Just… so excited. <3

Fourthed! (If there is such a thing.) Your recaps have been the real joy in watching this show, because you seem to watch it in exactly the same spirit I am. It would be an awful shame not to hear your take on the very last ever episode!

@Leah ~ I don't know, I thought that was sound advice. Not all the time, and not necessarily just in the case of women complaining to men, but sometimes, all a person really wants is for another person to listen and sympathize.

People do tell me I'm too forgiving of my TV shows, but…
I admit, I laughed at Kripke's line, but not because of his speech impediment. That may have been part of what made it funny, but really it was all about his brusque tone and the accusing glare he was directing at Sheldon. I'd been wondering why on earth Kripke,

Count me another one who said "It's my son's birthday" right before Vince did. Sigh.

I kept thinking he was Russian Mark Pellegrino. ^_^ Not that I'm ever sorry to see Mark Pellegrino (or his doppelganger). Who was the actor really? IMDB doesn't say yet.

Also, I liked how Terry outright pointed out how Joe's bets are always about punishing himself, never rewarding. I think he said something like, "Do you ever win anything in these mind bets, or just take things away?" and Joe had to admit he mostly just takes things away.

They shot it in mid-November. I spent one very long day in the audience, and having watched it live, I pretty much agree with everything you're saying. The questions were entertaining, the contestants were fun (we saw several sets of contestants tape, including at least one pair of friends, so it's not *all* couples,

Also a girl, and I look forward to the Star Trek recaps almost more than any other featured at AV Club. ^_^

Spike FTW
Oh yeah, hey, one episode where I didn't hate Dawn. Go Jane Espenson!

What killed me was the fact that he somehow managed a text-to-speech voice with an IRISH ACCENT. Did he type the words out phonetically, or do such things really exist? Either way it was wonderful.
