I loved the show, yet I didn't care for the movie as much because of the huge shift in tone. Even though the show had its share of dark moments, for the most part it was fairly lighthearted and goofy. The movie was extremely dark and depressing.

I really like the movie as a guilty pleasure, but I totally agree on it being one of the worst endings ever. Killing off Ernie's character in the last seconds of the movie was so random. It's almost as if the director went, "Oh wait, we haven't killed off the black guy yet." Terrible way to end an otherwise enjoyable…
