So talking of the manliness - you know when Blaine dies and Bill Duke is all cut up about it. There's that scene the following night where Arnold tries to comfort him by saying 'he was a good soldier, and Duke says 'He was my…friend, Sir'.
After the current episode that aired here…well, I think it's good we've got a writer who's prepared to make the Doctor a bit less saintly, and a character who refuses to be dazzled by his wide-eyed hyperactive schtick and is prepared to hold him to account.
You suspect…a ruse of some kind?
The thing I notice re-watching these things when they get repeated is the slow, measured way that the crew speak and the fact that they seem earnestly bamboozled by the very simplest deceptions.
