Given that this was basically the heart of the plot of The Muppets Take Manhattan, I'm a bit surprised no one's tried this in the last 30 years.

I haven't heard Ward play much of anything since the '98 Reunion album, so it's hard to argue with this.  I guess it would be more accurate to say that this album is missing the spirit of Bill Ward as opposed to the actual guy.

Liked this whole exchange because I always thought it was "Choc at me buddy" even though it never made any sense.

Poltergeist was a fluffy 1982 PG with one notable gory scene (the guy tearing his own face up for less than a minute).  Saw was a rugged 2004 R with multiple extended scenes of torture and dismemberment.  Sixth graders are usually 11-12 years old.  I don't think permission slips quite cover it.

Song: "At A Medium Pace", hands down.  (Pun not intended, but embraced.)

There was an article a few years ago (NYT, I think) that covered this.  Basically the makers of Faygo are thankful for the business (who wouldn't be?), but they go out of their way to avoid making direct connections to ICP.  They've turned down ICP's offers to do official promotions, but are more than happy to keep

The opening of "The End of the Beginning" definitely reminded me of the opening of "Black Sabbath".  Both start with a trudging chord progression (3 chords vs. 4), followed by a one-note version of the same progression, then Ozzy sings the first verse over it, then back to the chords, etc.  They're not identical, but

Really.  Sabbath rules, and this is a good, fun album (I'd go B/B-)…but I can't listen to 13 and not wonder how much better it - and "Age of Reason" in particular - could have been had Bill Ward been on it.  The drums just feel flat.  Correct, solid, and flat.  Maybe Ward would have been no better…but I'll always

"…all the soul of a punched clock."  Heller, you nailed it.

At some point Weird Al and Tenacious D will share a bill.  Until then, my hopes of a version of "Tribute" with a kick-ass polka-themed accordian solo will just have to wait.

Li'l Blaster: still representin'.

You're probably thinking of Faygo.

Fingers crossed for an Eminem guest appearance, even if they're all just sitting there in awkward silence for the entire segment.

I missed the nominations, so maybe this was already covered…but I'm kind of surprised there's no mention of Sandy Duncan showing up when Valerie became Valerie's Family and then The Hogan Family.

They were about as (un)welcome as Coy and Vance Duke were in our early '80s living room…and I've never seen them all in the same place at the same time…so maybe.
