He already said he spent some of his youth in Germany.
He already said he spent some of his youth in Germany.
Well he said he was in Germany when he was a teenager. Given that he has said he started uni at 11, he did his PhD in Germany… I guess.
The post was referring that even though Penny didn't call him that, it was still pretty believable that she would.
I think they are both horrid in their own ways to each other.
"Raj isn’t aching for personal attention, but rather wants to manipulate his friends because he doesn’t have a romantic partner to exert control over."
It might be almost alien for anyone else to think Sheldon initiated hugs more than Penny did and now they are even.
Don't mind me too much but I was sure the taping report delved into this properly. And she was quite good at it. I guess they cut off some parts then.
Some friends of mine tell me that no matter your gender and orientation, people still enjoy a good pair of breasts. I don't know how encompassing that might be. And it's not really the first time his eyes wander down.
It also has something to do with denying the socio-cultural archetype we are based off on. Turns out striving for equality doesn't mean we have to reject the "girly" or "feminine" things women do, but people don't get that.
No one took it as romantic comment O.o Not even the Sheldon/Penny shippers were deluded to think she or he were saying it out of romantic love. And true, just because she loves him fraternally doesn't mean she had to like everything he does, as the saying goes "That state of friendship were you can insult each other",…
My problem with this episode, and with the whole sitcom mostly, is that they have never heard of a phrase that goes "love doesn't equal sex".
He was very enjoyable here, so the writers had to compensate that making Penny say awful things about him, so just that "we are reminded who Sheldon is" or something.
Why do people insist on labeling everything?
Does it count that most of the girls I know are into games or anime to an extent? Even if it's only the one. People in my country don't have a label system so deep-seeded like in America. It's a rule that boys like video games, and girls might like a certain characters from Saint Seiya, or Yagami Light from Death…
"turned Sheldon into a character who is trying to overcome these obstacles in order to have meaningful personal relationships"
I didn't mean it as in he is insulting them. I believe a good chunk of sitcoms is made so that, relating to the characters, we are laughing at ourselves. As the saying goes, if you aren't capable of laughing at yourself, then you need to reevaluate your sense of humour…. or something like that.
Back when Amy came people started to realise how mellowed Sheldon really was. Because "Amy didn't have a Leonard". The first time they came together to the Cheesecake Factory (Sheldon and Amy I mean) Sheldon was so insufferable it was more surprising to find him so than me thinking "meh he has always been like this",…
But I wasn't referring to her ignorance as much as I'm concentrating on the delivery.
The writers WERE trying to make her dumb and there is no other way around it.
But that's exactly what I said? The writers show from time and time again that they can knock Sheldon and Penny respectively from the supposed high places they are at. They are at different extremes though.
