I don't think Bill Graham Civic will be that bad; their music is designed to be played in a place with cavernous, reverb-heavy acoustics. Also, FWIW, I saw Sigur Ros there recently, and it sounded surprisingly great.
So in conclusion, just be happy they're playing SF.

American Blade Runner would never make such an idiotic assertion.

That would be Bob Weston on bass, and he is brilliant during the Q&A's.
My favorite, from a show in San Francisco:

This is true; it's his way of playing out of a tech problem. There are quite a few vids of it on Youtube.

Agreed…. at least Resurrection had some ideas and tried to take the series in a new-ish direction.

Yeah, this illustrates my main problem with Scott Pilgrim:  you just don't give a shit about the main characters.  It's a bunch of brilliantly-executed visuals with nothing at its core.    If Scott and Ramona are just empty critiques of other indie movie characters, how am I supposed to invest in them, especially when

"Scars" is one of their very best latter-era tunes.  I would love it if they dusted that one off again for the live show.

I think "Grace Under Pressure" holds up really, really well; it has slowly moved up the ladder to being one of my favorite Rush records.  It doesn't contain as many fireworks as the albums preceding it, but it DOES contain some of their best songwriting.  You really can't go wrong with "Distant Early Warning", "Kid

To be fair, I think Axford ripped off the idea for "New Noise" from UFC fighter Clay Guida, but it's still an awesome choice.  I'd go with "The Deadly Rhythm", just to watch the crowd get really confused.

I'm still utterly baffled that Supergrass never cracked the U.S. market, even in spite of making catchy, funny, eclectic records right up until their untimely demise.  They were like Radiohead's bratty, delinquent little brother.  In other words, awesome.

I think "double-standard" is a better description for this situation; my real problem lies with Lucas using phrases like "our cultural history" and "our cultural heritage" as reasons not to tinker with films.  Obviously, he feels the same rules do not apply to his own movies, even though due to their popularity and
