I wish you could still hear music on AM radio. These Motown songs always sounded better in mono, and sometimes you hear these shitty stereo versions on the FM stations (especially the digital ones).

Katy Lied seems to be the forgotten/under appreciated Steely Dan album or something.
Hey, that could be a potentially-hilarious new feature!
I'm more of a LucasArts fan myself, but I won't take all of this hatin' on Sierra and Roberta Williams sitting down (I know, I know, my hemorrhoids must be flaring up again).
@avclub-1c3ba574dd5d0b83446d360ccb8f41b8:disqus, I get that Day of the Tentacle is often nonsensical, but I wouldn't say the puzzles are that obtuse (certainly no worse than MI2 or Space/King's Quest).
Actually, I've thought a full-scale Tim Schafer adventure game in the world of "Stacking" could be pretty cool.
Glad to see my love for both of these games is shared around here.
I actually got it bundled together with Monkey Island 2 for under $10 (I think…) during the big steam sale about a month ago, and though I've played these games hundreds of times, I'm having a blast going through them for the umpteenth time.
I guess I'm a Beatles man, but I'd be curious to see know kind of character goes along with each of these.
Vincent Vega was an Elvis man, right?
I have one: the episode of All in the Family where Sammy Davis Jr. comes to the Bunker's house ("Sammy's Visit").
I've never had any particular affinity for Doctor Who in the past, but just watched Empty Child/Doctor Dances on Netflix the other night on a friend's recommendation.
That's probably my favorite as well, and for more reasons than just…
I was bored by Mirage the first time I heard it, and didn't revisit it again for a few years. I don't know what the hell I was thinking the first time, it's a little too slick (production-wise) and some songs drag on too long, but it's actually an interesting, unique record for them.
Man, reading Noel wax (ha!) nostalgic about vinyl is making me want to get a good old-fashioned, working turntable again; I'm also of the mindset that certain records just don't sound the same on CD.
Never mind, the Google tells me Mr. Toad is still going strong in Disneyland. It was only the Disney World Mr. Toad's that was removed for some stupid Winnie the Pooh ride.
1) Pirates of the Carribean
2) Haunted Mansion
3) Horizons (Epcot)*
4) Splash Mountain
5) Mr. Toad's Wild Ride*
I went back through the first 3 Metallica records this year, too, after a period of getting back into metal (largely thanks to AVclub's "Loud" column). Metallica really kicked some serious ass in that period, especially Ride the Lightening.
Not only had I never seen this, but I'd never even heard of it until I stumbled across it on Netflix Instant a few days ago — and I'm a big fan of Henson/The Muppets. It's a shame it's such an under-appreciated Christmas special, it's really very good.
Other than the Charlie Brown album, most of my favorite Christmas music comes from "A Gift From You From Phil Spector". Listen to this (definitive) version of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus": http://www.youtube.com/watc…
