He survives there.
He survives there.
Until he winds up in the freaking Pits!!!
Then who knows what horrors he experiences.
The audience sees him torn away from his homeland. As a kid.
And everything that happens to him happens, only not in the sidelines, but front and center.
Onomaeus, instead of Spartacus.
IMAGINE, FOR A SECOND, THAT DOCTORE, AKA ONOMAEUS, IS THE LEAD CHARACTER OF A TV SERIES.
Let's see.
The most tragic, downright depressing storyline of the entire series, is perhaps Onomaeus story.
I realized something watching these episodes.
And we haven't even talked about Onomaeus yet!
Raw and all.
I reckon Game of Thrones elicits more emotion.
Season 3 had some poignant, touching moments. But overall, it feels like it inhabits a plane other than our own, and it's hard to truly engage, emotionally, in a weep like a child kind of way, with it.
The Walking Dead?
what else?
Breaking Bad is sad, but Spartacus is down right tragic.
I dare you to tell me.
Really, I want to know.
HAS THERE BEEN A SADDER SERIES THAN THIS ONE??
