"But as on the hit-ish NBC series Revolution,
even non-electrical devices are affected, if only so Mayor Quimby can
announce that “even the musical greeting cards” don’t work."

Now?

Now?

Yeah, I just earlier today upped my disc service back to 2 at a time from 1.  And I may return to 3.  I lowered it a while back before I realized just how much stuff I wanted to watch wasn't available on streaming.

See, this is the thing where streaming will never replace something like Criterion disks for me.  I buy them specifically for the commentaries and all of the extras about the film.  Until I can get that from a streaming service, I'll continue to buy physical for anything that I'm really interested in.

Nor me.  I've reread LotR roughly every 18 months since I was 12.  I've skipped the Bombadil stuff almost every time in the last 30 years.  I was certainly not disappointed to see him not make the cut for the films.

I think it's probably got something to do with his ability to use "then" and "than" correctly, which you seem to be lacking.
