That's probably a production thing. They just keep hammering home the use of the initial in interviews to the point where it sticks. Like I imagine they'd cut confessionals and say "can you say Laura M instead?"

I cannot fucking wait to record this week's podcast. That is all.
I believe it did. You should listen to our podcast sometime. It's pretty good.
It's possible that it might've been the theme of Fiji if it hadn't been so poorly received with Cook Islands.
Or its just that Fiji's casting drafted off of Cook Islands.
The new podcast by me and @JudgeReinhold:disqus is up: http://purplerock.podomatic…
I'd say it's ridiculous that someone as unqualified as Kristina is in contention to be a mayor, but, you know, Rob Ford.

Or if you don't feel like talking, you can always just pose questions either here or at our email address: purplerockpodcast@gmail.com. Because I really don't have much to say about this episode and we already did a summary of how the season has shaped up so far last week (and nothing has changed there).
What was really awesome about that challenge is that everyone was trying to throw it. But eventually James just decided to end her misery.
He is only the second castaway to pass away.
It's important to remember that Vytas was not going home, and he knew it. He is still a player in this game. No one went home tonight.
She missed the (to go to the final jury with) between player and than.
If it weren't for the family twist, Vytas might have never appeared on Survivor. So there's that.
I think everyone involved in the split still gets points, since they were all involved in the decision to eliminate Vytas. Some just had to vote the other way as insurance.
That's another element, yes. With 20 person seasons, there's going to be episodes where more than one person leaves. Sometimes it happens organically (evac, quit). If not, they need to do double boots. But having the extra players insulates them from injury/evacs, since episodes that don't end in a TC are less than…
I'd say it was mix between what @avclub-026c49e97dba6d1b89933fdcb1260d62:disqus and @avclub-858b67085072a6f2403cf500871f4068:disqus have suggested. When you think about it, Katie is a much bigger threat to Tyson's game than is Tina (now that Aras has been voted out). She still has a connection to Ciera, Hayden, and…
God that thing was creeping me out. But I'm guessing it wasn't actually there as long as the edit suggested. They just kept cutting back to the same 30 seconds.
That's my read. He's dropping bombs in the hopes that they'll pay off when he comes back from RI.
Yeah, RI was the impetus. That it ended up being two obvious boots was just a side benefit. In fact, maybe they wouldn't have been so obvious if they had more time to tell a story or to use reward challenges to sew dissent.
Cue the "does anyone still watch that show" comments. Always so original.
