Balance challenges tend to favor women. Unless said woman is abnormally (and unnaturally) top heavy. I think it mostly has to do with foot size.

I think Kat's real reason for wanting Monica gone was a dislike of Monica. They didn't really get along that well in One World, and my guess is that Kat has continued to feel marginalized by the older Monica.
