Tyler Perry Presents Lee Daniels' Prince

I think the trouble with Rocky (the character) is that Stallone himself drove the character so far into the ground that his performance in Rocky all too often gets supplanted in the brain by the Rocky of Rocky IV, which was essentially a cartoon character.

I don't particularly think Cop Land is a great film (I think it was way too long and rather overstuffed), but I liked Stallone's nicely measured performance.

"Lensed effectively" says Joel Siegel
"The audio was adequate" raves Janet Maslin
"The opening credits were legible" proclaims Jeffrey Lyons

Seize the Day (based on a Saul Bellow novel of the same name) was made three years before Dead Poet's Society.

The pork pie hat lets you know he's serious.

I agree. I never thought for a second Murphy would win. It would seem that Norbit is used an excuse rather than the fact that Murphy is (fairly or unfairly) not generally liked in Hollywood and that, when in doubt, the academy is generally very sentimental.

I imagine a new ad campaign:

If we're talking about Robin Williams, I'd choose Seize the Day, not a great film, but a much bolder performance that carries the picture.

If it was called Hard to Watch I'd definitely go see it.

"Full disclosure: I hate television and have thinly veiled contempt for those who watch it… and I'll be covering Kevin Can Wait this season!"

It didn't click 100%, but I kind of expected that, what with trying to shoehorn a lot of stuff into the pilot. I agree completely that Artemis Pebdani's character was spot on. (I can't wait to see Zorn's workplace life get some more play.) Also, it was nice to see Knives Chau! Ellen Wong, even in her brie two scenes,

NBA is still pretty corny. Remember this from the 2012 Super Bowl?

The US was very non-interventionist at the time, i.e. we weren't so quick enter into a European war so soon after WWI (as well as recovering from a depression.) I'm oversimplifying, of course, but there was more to it than just the US "ignoring" it.

Sophistry is fun, isn't it? The ironic upvotes are cool too.

I know, CGI. It's astonishing we just didn't take 9/11 in stride, after all, it was our turn, right?

I knew Jimmy would eventually listen to Edgar's suggestions, but the way he was treating him was really horrible. Edgar takes it because I guess he knows Jimmy enough to not take it all personally, and I guess his non-direct approach does work, but it still has to be tough to take. I remember in season one, Edgar did

Killian was in the promo for next week.

Normal, Ohio, yes. Not a bad premise, per se, but it never really got a handle on his character.
