You ain't kidding with your description of The Paul Lynde Halloween Special. It has to the be the most 70's TV thing ever made. Donny and Marie, KISS, Tim Conway, Florence Henderson singing disco, Betty White, Billy Barty, Witchiepoo, and Roz Kelly during the month she was a thing (before she inexplicably got herself

"Love Gravy"

Yeah. Usually the guest casting works, but you just don't buy Nathan Lane as Jack's brother.

Like all Greengrass films, to ensure a reasonable release date he's already started the editing process.

Admittedly, It is tough to sing a song where you don't sing the same line over and over and over.

Best laugh I had all day, Mr Warner. Your sister is awesome.

Unfortunately, that would involve him singing a Staind song. I mean, it is supposed to be an apology, right?

Fountains of Wayne's voicemail wasn't working for some reason.

I appreciate your gist as I'm not the biggest fan of all the pomp before sporting events, especially since a lot of the time it seems forced. Notice the only time the singing of the anthem is talked about is when someone screws it up or does it the "wrong" way.

It was a perplexing choice, yes, as Lewis couldn't be any less from the west coast. But still how did the guys from FOX pick him then? Someone from FOX sports is still beating off every day to Break the Cycle on his iPhone?

I didn't even know Staind was still a thing. That was only mildly annoying at first, if I remember correctly. The guy who sang

That was kind of the cruel twist of the episode. Nathan finally tries to be honest and sincere for once, and still gets screwed.

I agree with you Carlos. The statement came off as pejorative to me. Although it is typical of some of the knee-jerk reactions this show gets for its general libertarian and pro free-market bent.

I thought Ellen and MacFarlane did fine, not everything they did worked, but they kept to their personalities as much as they were allowed, which is about the best you can do given that it's just an impossible gig.

I forget whether The Accused was specifically mentioned, but wasn't Jodie Foster naked in Nell?

Gotta clean that up for TV!

in case you're familiar with Outlaw Vern and his movie reviews (and you should be), his review of Domino is hilarious (and dead on).

Chris Pine on a choo choo, yes.

Yup. Whole gangs are getting gunned down in broad daylight in every episode. Marshal law would be enacted for chrissakes.

Man on Fire could be where Scott's style reached a tipping point, which led to Domino, which was unwatchable.
