This is great news, because if You're the Worst wasn't renewed it would've sucked that guy's dick, and that guy's dick- and definitely that guy's dick.

Don't I at least get a frogurt?

Slap Shot is great, yes. I'd also put The Taking of Pelham 123 in any contest for most 70's film.

Fun fact: The word "fun" has 3 letters.

If you quickly put aside the fact that the film has very little connection to actual real people, it's pretty good, with a Mamet script that doesn't disappoint in its Mamet-ness (if you're a Mamet fan, which I am), and very sure handed direction from DeVito. The supporting cast is top-notch as well, with John C

"A janitor or a security guard or some black— (sees Tracy) hearted individual, probably white, has ruined the Hornberger hang. For all of us!"

Depends whose mom it is.

"I told the black guy here, none of that Brady stuff. Now let's get this over with. Which booking is this? Are you the perverts who want to go to town on each other while I make a pie?"

I liked when he insisted on being called "Dallas."

Very much so. In fact Isabella Rossellini is in the next two episodes (that will be written up next week). Very well-deployed as Jack's ex.

It's fun how they effectively used John McEnroe, of all people, on several occasions.

Fun to know Jack was dating Maureen Dowd.

That repeating of the joke and cutaway is what made that work. The look of satisfaction on Pete's face was icing.

I don't think they're doing Mom either.

Ice cream and red wine in her pajamas used to be Penny, actually. What would be cool is if Amy's social life over the last few years gave her confidence to meet other people, and perhaps she would gush to married Bernadette and engaged Penny how great the single life is. It's not likely, but I like the idea.

I think we're heading for a Sheldon/Amy break-up, which would be much better than their last break-up which was over an intellectual disagreement. This one will be more about emotional issues, and could be make or break for the two of them (well it seems Amy more than Sheldon.) Although I hope the reaction is not to

I do agree it is a tad tiresome to read paragraphs like this:

I mostly liked the b-stories more than Sheldon being a dick as usual A-stories. Even Jim Parsons looks tired of all this.

I thought the coitus line was a ruse to test whether she could hear their conversation

Yeah, Rocket took way too much of the brunt of SNL's 80-81 flameout. The ship was clearly sunk well before the f-bomb, and there was already tons of blame to go around.
