The island went on. More groups came to the island and eventually Hurley gave the job to someone else.

I want to believe that at some point Vincent got up and led Rose and Bernard to Jack's body, Lassie-style and then Rose and Bernard buried him and had a funeral and everything.

Smellson, I'm thinking the island being underwater in the altworld has nothing to do with what became of the real island.
Everything in the atlworld seems to have been created by each individual in order to help them reconcile with death before moving on. I think the island being underwater is suppose to symbolize

I find myself asking the same question(s).
As someone who has been more invested in the island's mysteries and the mythology over the relationships, I found myself questioning why I was so satisfied with the way things worked out.
This sounds cheesy but I think that in the end I'm happy with the finale because it just

the church
This was probably mentioned already but I'm still working my way through the comments.
Was the church the Lighthouse station, the one where they met Eloise?

I'm still not clear on how it was too Christian.

Yeah, the alt world was like a midway point. A place they all went to before moving on.

That was very well put, St. God!

I thought the same thing. His son was just something to help him work through his own daddy issues.

I'm hearing good things about NCIS: Los Angeles.
Maybe you should give that a try?

It was the Ajira plane.

Dapper Dan has a point.

Yeah, it's definitely got me interested in another season.
And what of Bobby's soul? They still have that deal to, uh, deal with.

time jump?
It's being speculated that there will be a time jump at the beginning of next season.
Chuck said that it would be a long time before Dean saw Bobby again so this got me wondering if that really is just Sam standing there and if the time jump had already taken place. Now here it is, a year or two later and

Theresa falls up the stairs.
I started watching this mid-season because of Boone and now I'm hooked.

Snugglesaurus is so correct.
If anything, Superntural is a show about family. No season has been more super focused on family and bloodlines than Season 5.
I may have wanted to see a big, fire-y showdown but that's not what this show or this season was leading up to.

Same! I don't know where they're going in Season 6 but this finale made me very excited to see where another season could take us.

Sal Moriarty, the Bible salesman
This bit as well as all the Impala recalls made the episode for me.
I also enjoyed MFEO.

I hope we get an explanation on the amulet next season but I won't be holding breath for it.
If Chuck is in fact God then it's plausible that he could prevent it from burning. Or maybe Cas was just wrong about the amulet? We never even found out why or how Cas thought it would burn hot in God's presence.

But Nick, why are women on the island unable to have babies?
