I just saw it for the second time yesterday, and I'm starting to agree with you. For as dense as the plot was, it still felt like Nolan had time to thematically address and tie together everything from the previous two movies. Also, JGL and Anne Hathaway were fantastic.

I was grading based on potential for originality, of which I see little. I have no doubt that they will be thoroughly entertaining. To be more specific

I liked the cold open. While the jokes aren't great, it does a good job of realistically creating a bottle episode by factoring in what the characters would do. Also, it sets up most of the themes of the episode, such as Pierce feeling rejection and Jeff not taking Troy seriously.
