Rainier Wolfcastle, of course.
Rainier Wolfcastle, of course.
I don't think fake news is going away now that the election is over, or will go away after Trump takes office. Something needs to be done. There are surely many wackos who'll see this as a sign that Facebook is biased or part of a plot to destroy America. But I think it could actually help with the much larger group…
Ooh, good one. I'm adding that to my list of things that I'm hoping will happen to him between now and January 20: heart attack, stroke, safe falling on his head and turning him into a orange puddle of goo on the sidewalk, and choking.
I was going to say Marisa Tomei, but I'll allow it.
Damn, those Italians just keep finding ways to make themselves even more likable. The Renaissance, pasta, and now this.
Isn't Diplo a type of Lego for really little kids?
Howard Inlet? Why not Harrison Fjord?
So the Simpsons writers beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
You seem like a smart attorney, based on your law-related comments here, so I thought you had it in you. But your goals are awesome, too. So good luck again.
Are you aiming to be a law professor? That's awesome. Good luck.
A "distressingly laissez faire attitude toward local regulations and governmental oversight" seems to be understating it, too. They're pretty much openly contemptuous of local laws, no?
That's Samuel Ward Spangenberg, thank you very much.
Nope. I don't know when you left, but they all take credit cards now. I've never come across one that was broken, or had a driver tell me he couldn't take a card. In fact, drivers seemed surprised on a couple of occasions in the last few months when I paid in cash.
I just started The Power of Habit, by Charles Duhigg, in the hopes that I'll be able to change some of mine. Anyone read this and find it helpful? (I've only read the preface so far.)
Thanks!
That's great. I remember when he died, Time magazine put him on the cover. It was a great picture of him, looking peaceful; I think he had a flower. Somebody — either Time, or a reader — pointed out that it was the first cover not related to 9/11 since the attacks. It just seemed to fit — all this awful stuff was…
Ditto. We talked about that case when I took Copyright in law school. I remember my professor said something incorrect about George Harrison (although I can't remember what it was), and I had to correct him. I felt I contributed to everyone's education that day.
Ooh, I haven't been able to do this in a while, but today I can.
Ha! No offense. I wasn't sure how that would be received. I don't really do musicals — I think Seinfeld once asked, "Why are they singing?", which is sort of how I feel when I see one — but my mom and sister like The Sound of Music. So I've seen it on TV several times over the years, and I can admit that I think it…
That Times story is excellent and infuriating. It made me hope that Obama unleashes some cyber hell on Russia before he leaves office.
