Peanuts is a prime example of a piece of art tainting the memory by staying on way too long. If Schulz had died in a blimp accident in 1974 we'd remember him as a genius instead of a doddering old man whose strip used nothing but a bunch of recycled gags from the 1950's.

Columbus can stay, they have a beautiful rink, great fan support in spite of a decade of losing, and they get snow. Plus they draw fans from Cleveland and Cincinnati.

"Bringing a team back to Winnipeg with the same arena isn't going to be much better."

I too am looking forward to this series immensely, and would like to thank the dude who invented BitTorrent for making it possible for Canadians to see it. Four goddamn sports channels in Canada and not one showing 30for30. Fuck you, TSN, TSN2, Sportsnet and The Score.

I would only watch a Marmaduke movie…
…if Joe Mathlete was present in the bottom corner of the screen, MST3K style, to explain the movie to me.

WTF is wrong with having seen Barenaked Ladies? I saw them supporting the indie cassette as well and it was fucking awesome.

Yes, in Ken Tremendous's words, "he was too funny not to make a regular player".

For fuck's sake, untalented chefs, I can make paella and Eggs Florentine, and I know what the fuck they are too. Get kicked off already.

Can we start referring to Jennifer C as just "Jennifer" from now on? Earholes McGee got turfed early on, so fuck her.

And just to add to that, a big part of the late 70's ska movement in Britain was caused by the fact that both punk and reggae were unofficially banned as being dangerous back then. So if you were a club owner and were going to flout the rules anyway, you may as well play both punk AND reggae to get as many kids in as

"Goal! And another!"

Take that, Guernica!

I'd say so. Only Life is probably their most accessible album but all of their first three records are essential. I've never gotten into Time for a Witness but it's not bad.

Big Star
Big Star is the only band my Dad and I ever both liked.

The Good Earth
I have the other three Feelies records on vinyl and on CD, but I've been looking for a copy of The Good Earth for over a decade, dating well back before it was possible (and fun, too!) to download such a thing online.

We can travel down that road in this thread, Half Jew.

Whoever in Britain invented the idea of frying white bread in bacon fat for breakfast deserves a Nobel Prize.

Oh, and Steve Coogan playing Tony Wilson from 24 Hour Party People.
