Sorry, dancing in musicals very seldom translates well to the screen (especially Fosse). I think Marshall was right in focusing on story/character rather than dancing.

I think fredhuggins just gave a perfect argument why you can't judge a movie by its technical correctness. All things he says might be true, but the movie still sucks.

Psychologically, it is a horrible cycle. Rachel isn't a "bad person", but she is self centered (for what ever reason). She then becomes an outcast because other people are annoyed by her, which exacerbates the self centered part of her personality as a defense mechanism.

I use that line as my opener. You'd be surprised how well it works.

I have to say that there is a difference between "reality" TV and Documentary TV. Bourdain, Mythbusters, etc. is more documentary because they don't involve pathetic, desperate, attention seeking contestants. It's a completely different animal.
