How do the bad guys always make sure to check for under-the-skin GPS devices 100 percent of the time every time, but they never bother to peer into someone's ear canal?

She's probably the best Back partner the show has had, when considering acting ability and the character's competence. Yvonne S. has done pretty damn good work.
He's been one of the better CTU bosses in the show's run. Naturally charming, seems competent and didn't get in anyone's way just because the plot mandated it, decent actor. He did a good job.
Well, we've seen the "CTU boss is out/dead, subordinate has to step up and tell everyone to get back to work." So it wasn't totally new. It was definitely another Greatest Hit track, that's for sure.
I loved that they flipped the "Car being watched by surveillance goes under a bridge" trope. That was a GUARANTEE in old 24, that when bad guys were trying to escape in a car they'd go under a bridge to avoid being watched from above, and switch cars and shit.
It was absolutely absurd on about 100 different levels.
Yeah, that's about the tamest form of torture he could have possibly expressed regret over though. "Sorry, I shouldn't have done that … even though I've done approximately 178 worse things to people over the past decade."
I was really impressed by the shot of her full body hanging in the air like that. I figured they'd stick to close-ups, because of course nobody wants to hang like that, and rigging it so they could show the whole thing would be a lot of work.
I hate Season 6 so much.
I'm hoping for this. Trying to connect him to this absurd terrorist plot is pushing it, even for 24 standards.
Yeah, I got through the whole thing, it was enjoyable. But never must-see TV for me, because I never felt like it did anything new.
Well said.
That might be slightly overstated.
"It's an over-saturated genre that too often prioritizes lazy displays of abject misery over substance …"
"I still don't really know what the hell it's about."
Laura Marling is absurdly talented for being in her early 20s. Just off-the-charts.
Agreed, because ultimately, who cares if someone else likes something you don't? Or hates something you love? It has zero impact on whether YOU enjoy what you you enjoy.
"Not feeling bad, but the head-scratchy feeling of 'What am I missing?'"
I preferred less music. It's too much for my tastes now, has been since about Season 3 or 4.
Maybe they thought that was TOO obvious? Few people would have believed it was the right house anyway, because there are still 7 hours left. So why have it be a "twist"? That'd be my best argument for it.
