Two things:
1) Excellent start to the season, and very good wrap-up. I totally agree with about the on-the-noseness of the Del conversation, but I'm willing to look past it. I'm thrilled to have these characters (the city included) back. And I love hearing the music every week.

You are gonna eat so many spider webs.

All I know is
I needs me some Weiner in my Mad Men.

I haven't seen Gone Baby Gone, but I'd like to despite the fact that I was disappointed with The Town.

Number one answer still on the board!
(Not a firstie attempt)

Look, I run a PRITT-tee tight ship around here.

If there's one thing this show nails, it tends to be the editing. They make some great cuts. And props to the camera crew for catching reaction shots so well too. That makes the editing job a bit easier since they have more options.

The Town:

I used to live across the street from that Jewel on Montrose and Broadway/Sheridan. It's a cool area. And I'm not a hipster.

I was pretty into Gibbons and his storyline. Way into it, actually. I loved the explanation of Cabrini Green's path from symbol of hope to, as they said, essentially a prison. It was a really great way to weave in this Chicago landmark (or former since it's basically gone now) with the storyline. I just wish they

Pauly D does have an odd charisma to him.

The best part of that ad is him wearing sunglasses and walking in what is clearly a crappy backdrop in an otherwise empty fluorescent room, pretending to wave to all the fake people that are lined up at the nonexistent red carpet, just trying to get a glimpse of Ronnie.

She's really funny.

Honestly, I think Mr. Beast is the best album to start with. It's the least-daring one some would probably argue, but it's the easiest one to get into because it sounds nice, and starts off pretty strong.

Yep, that's what I'm hoping for Afghamistam. I let it slide in the pilot because I know they have to hook people right away. And I;m willing to give it a few weeks to establish an audience before I really judge it.

You know what's hurting the show to me?

I'd like them to slow it down a bit. Maybe just because I'm used to watching The Wire and Mad Men, both of which move brilliantly slowly and allow things to simmer. But some of these things have been wrapped up just a bit too quick. I'm not expecting them to put the brakes on that hard though.

Don't know how that posted the link twice. Just clicking on one works though, if you were confused.

"I said stay off the crack, and I still think that's pretty good advice, unless you can manage it socially. If you can manage it socially, then go for it, but not a lot of people can, you know?"
