Ah, this is just the welcome back Newswire I've been waiting for. There's a severe lack of pop culture up in rural Maine. Unless you count hilarious moose jokes (which I guess I kinda do?). I much prefer Dinos Devour Hipsters jokes.
I really really enjoy Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, so I'm really excited for Tortoro. The problem is, I have to watch it with my sister. I don't want to watch it alone and my husband isn't into foreign animated films of the Japanese persuasion (not sure if Tortoro counts as anime…).
He's the tits, man
Office Space! Dammit. Another great one I forgot.
Seven is a good one. I'm surprised Fight Club didn't pop up anywhere - it's the only movie that I like better than the book.
The first one is so great. Even though the next two had the cool sea monster men (I'm a sucker for weird creatures in movies, no, I don't know why), overall, they were totally unnecessary. And I forgot the fourth one existed.
RAIDERS. God dammit. I am terrible at making lists of awesome and great movies.
To that end, no need to put uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh (you were supposed to say that part like Jeff Goldblum) why not after Jurassic Park.
Queequeg have girlfriend?
YES
*narrows eyes*
Damn, I might miss Zapp Brannigan's terrible pronunciation most of all.
Bwa ha ha, so do my husband and I.
That just raises further questions!
Lugnuts! Precious lugnuts!
Me neither. Especially now that 30 Rock is over, and Mad Men is on hiatus. I watch sports when I'm at my parents' or sister's house, or Breaking Bad. PBS is my go-to on the weekend because our station shows great cooking stuff: Julia Child, Walter Staib, America's Test Kitchen, etc. Until Parks and Rec is back, I…
Near Blue Hill… maybe 20-30 minutes from Castine, almost an hour from Acadia.
I swear my husband only read Reamde to say he's read it. I honestly don't think he enjoyed it. It's just another Neal Stephenson book he can check off the list.
Dead from laughing at The Barry White of Pigeons.
