I saw U2 back in '87 when they were at the peak of their messianic rock gods trip, and it was the perfect match-up of big arena venue (LA Coliseum I think?) and big rock ambition. (Now I'm all old and stuff, and the idea of seeing ANYONE play in front of more than a few hundred people just makes me want to take a

I made peace with the cheesy instrumentation long ago, and now identify it as part of what makes him Leonard Cohen. It's charmingly peculiar.

I thought he was slipping away with the syringe to kill (?) OurLincoln, or something. He was all interested in exactly where FauxLivia and TheirLincoln had stashed him (zooming in on the surveillance video), then prepared the syringe but got intercepted by Walternate. Felt like an obvious loose thread to me . . .

Things really got going in season 2, it's true. I liked the whole series but was happy that there seemed to be real progress in the story as season 2 came to an end — especially after all the foreboding and plot evasion that seemed to be  the whole point of season 1. So I was particularly ticked off when this got

I am hopeful about this one. I tell everyone who will listen about The Thick of It.

Drowning by Numbers. It was the first one I saw and appealed to me on so many levels. I wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but it really stuck in my head. Also, Bernard Hill.

LIAR!

I enjoyed it, although I didn't catch all of the dialogue and was a little bewildered in spots. (I just let it flow over me, and I figures I might re-watch at a higher volume later.) The episode was good as a sort of intro to what and who we're dealing with. I'm not someone who really cares about horses or gambling,

Re: Rob Lowe, he's fun on P&R, but as a walking cartoon.

As a middle-aged male myself, and still having not seen this movie, the idea of it alone is really starting to make me kind of angry (based only on the review and the spoilers posted here), which is probably giving it way too much credit. Wait, life isn't all easy and awesome, dude? Let's revert to two-dimensional

That sounds HILARIOUS. I can't wait to make fun of this when it plays on Starz.

Dear television: That back yard with a pool location is ALL. USED. UP. It's been in the Party Down pilot, in Wilfred, and in the movie The Lather Effect.

Whatever. She seems pretty realistic to me, but I guess I've known a lot of irritatingly immature people. Now that I've given up on Boardwalk Empire and The Walking Dead, this will have to do.

This show is really starting to get somewhere. This and the previous episode were great. I was lukewarm on the show for the first few episodes, and Amy's un-self-awareness was getting pretty annoying for a while, but lately it's sort of kicked in. I mean, maybe I'm just getting used to the pace, but I agree with the

Also, it's "perpetration" not "perpetuation"

That was great. Root + Rosemont nailed it - the emotional element of the mad scientist story was really well delivered. (Also, I watched with my 7-year-old daughter. She loves science, and I had to explain the whole concept of fake/speculative science, like "it's impossible, but this is how it might work if it weren't

The Prisoner YES. When I get that stuck in my head it stays there all day long and I'm absurdly happy about it. There's something so satisfyingly old-fashioned about it. (Now I shall hop on my penny farthing and pedal away.)

Seems odd not to mention Jethro Tull given that it had members in common with Fairport Convention, who also backed up Richard & Linda Thompson a lot on records and on tour. But technically more on the prog side, less folk rock than plundering folk as needed. Or out on their own odd limb. I don't know; I'm trying to

Based on pure speculation, I'd say it was probably music licensing that stopped them from putting out all the shows earlier than they did. (It's just the reason I always hear when shows come out like that, and there are a lot of performances on the show.)

FA—THER! FA—THER! That's where I first noticed him. Tudyk is awesome.
