OK, I submit. Clearly, not first-season Sansa. But Sansa is occasionally pretty cunning in season two. Her manipulation of Joffrey at Blackwater, e.g. Maybe I should say that the way the board was organized precluded her from playing it well?
In the sense that I had been cheering for him to beat the Mountain and was fairly ecstatic to see him winning and then had that taken away from me in the cruelest, most horrifying way possible, I agree. But I thought his death was more disquieting than truly sad. I figured Oberyn wasn't going to be too long for this…
Game of Thrones brutal death rankings:
The preview indicated that there were two episodes left in the season and then provided the date for the next showing, leaving the impression for me — with Silicon Valley done for the season — they might just show both next week.
Yep. With Littlefinger in the Vale and Dorne presumably pissed off about losing a prince to the Lannisters, I think this means all of the kingdoms will be brought into the goings-on.
That's assuming the Night's Watch exists at the end of all this. Not sure at this point that the Night's Watch is going to survive the SEASON.
Metaphorically
Tyrion wants to think there is some reason or rationale behind the beetle holocaust. There isn't. The violence is completely arbitrary.
The feel-good moment was when Oberyn thrust his spear through The Mountain's chest. It was just … nullified…
I was kind of in shock, so I didn't hear completely register what Tywin was saying, but I think he sentenced Tyrion to death? So I would agree that it looks like Night's Watch is off the table.
Somehow, it's one of the healthier relationships on the show.
Totally thought that the monologue about crushing beetles was going to have a more allegorical rather than, um, a foreshadowing function.
Thanks.
Logistical question: I was confused at the notice at the end. Are there two episodes airing next Sunday?
At least our favorite character Ramsay had something good happen to him.
Rule of thumb: If your champion's skull gets pulverized, you don't win.
He posted three minutes before you, dude.
We are all Arya.
She's been playing the game the whole time. The board is just now arranged in a way that's not completely horrible for her.
