I always put this show in with Real People and That's Incredible, but I guess it was made way later.  I watched this show as a teen and it always bugged me when they had more fugitives and less monsters.

I will read it.  Never heard of it until now.

Yep.  This book is scary for those and many other reasons.

Jupiter Jones.
The one I remember was about a green ghost and some little pearl pills that extended life.

Before Let The Right One In, 'Salems Lot was my favorite vampire story.  It still holds up remarkably well and has good classic scares throughout.

That stupid book scared the crap out of me.  Just thinking of it gives me the willies. I still get this idea in my head sometimes that if I look at a high window I will see red pig eyes and intentionally look away.
For a hoax and all that stuff it it one scary read.

I love horror and scary books.  Many are mentioned here and I am repeating some, but here is my list, not complete and in no order.  BTW:  Starting House of Leaves again tomorrow night.

I watched, too.  Did you notice that this movie also has Swan Lake playing in the credits, just like Dracula?  Good stuff.  I am happy to see this, Black Cat and Dracula's Daughter in the article.  Daughter is brilliant, and moves seamlessly from the first movie.

The Universal monster movies are gifts that keep on giving.  The Black Cat is a treat.
BTW:  The DVD of Dracula with Philip Glass music done by Kronos Quartet is great.  Be sure to get the one that has the Mexican Dracula that was shot at the same time,  by Spielbergo I think.
