It works for the character though :)

Ohhhh, I see. Not in the books. But that doesn't really matter anymore…

I like Stannis because he's the guy that's been screwed out of what should justly been his all his life, and he's just not taking it anymore.

Wait what? Could you explain further?

I agree that he's a red herring. But an important one nonetheless. Taking Storm's End when the kingdom barely has any army left to stop him ain't nothing.

I imagine we'll have a bunch more next season when Bran has mastered his time travel routine.

Well, he's doing just post-war cleanup in DWD. It's not super-exciting though, I agree.

Maybe Sansa or Littlefinger?

Because Winter is coming, and Westeros was falling apart at the seams during Summer and Fall when they had the capable Tywin running things.

Probably no more flashbacks. The scene w/ the witch was the very important flashback.

Littlefinger had Jon Arryn killed. Just a bit of background: Robert Baratheon and Eddard Stark were wards of Jon Arryn. They grew up as best friends, and viewed Arryn as a father figure.

In the books Tywin is clean bald, and Stannis is balding.

I think there's an important distinction here though. Rattleshirt was put to the flame, exclaiming constantly that he wasn't Mance.

Cersei is going to be replaced by someone younger and more fair, is the prophecy.

I didn't really love the casting of Kevan. In my mind he was a plumper man than Tywin, and had reddish blonde hair. The guy they cast looked older than I'd expect, and only bore a minor resemblance to Tywin. Also, they didn't really hint that this guy is going to have any importance.

My wife and I were uncontrollably giggling while Sweetrobin was getting his ass kicked. That's all.

It seems like the writers have just cut out some of the portions of the books that were too slow paced, and not really going anywhere.

It's interesting that you mention Dostoevsky. One of his favorite literary devices was settings where people with charged emotional states were placed in confined physical spaces, and the emotional explosions that would inevitably occur.

Also, wasn't Harry the one who originally made her feel uncomfortable at the agency, talking about how sexy he thought she was, and of course, Megan was just around the corner?

I think Derosa probably ended up as a friend of the show because he is a friend of Bill Burr.
