Yeah, I'm kind of tired of the Garry Marshall/Gillian Jacobs story as well. The high point was during their first set of interactions. And IMHO the funniest Jacobs appearance was the Words with Friends episode.

I remember at the start of Professor Blastoff, that David had more of an Aaron role, like he would get beat up by Tig and Kyle a bit Huntsberger and seemed to get frustrated by it eventually, and they brought on Aaron.
