RTJ is the biggest letdown I've experienced in hip hop, so RTJ3 wasn't too heartbreaking for me. They're never *bad*, but after R.A.P. and C4C I was expecting a *lot* more than an indistinguishable series of brag-raps from a group that, three albums in, is *still* obsessed with saying its own name as many times as

Haha true. Well, try me. If you've got a comparison between HP and David Foster Wallace or Philip K Dick then I'll be all ears :)

No love for Extra Width? It's all about 'Afro' and 'History of Lies' :)

That would depend very much of the quality of the book, surely ;)

Well yes, I was being *slightly* facetious… only slightly, though. At least one of my colleagues in academia has written on the books, and I fear that one day I'll have to read more than just the one HP book which I read as a child and didn't care for, as apparently there's at least one book which touches upon my

Or 'the evident intellectual decline of humanity'.

Seriously, worst Doctor ever. Four long years of gurning and inane catchphrases, with only 'Midnight' and 'Blink' to show for it.

Ok. I'm not sure what the issue is, as all that I can see you've said is 'sigh. never mind' as if I had ignored a point that you'd made…? Your Disqus account is set to private so I can't see if I'm somehow overlooking another comment of yours.

True. I can't say that I regret any of that, except of course for being ignorant of the tax rate context, so thanks again for pointing that out.

Sorry, did you want me to actually get involved in a tax debate? Or is something else in my response sigh-worthy?

No worries about the Himmler comment – my own comment was slightly combative, so I don't blame you or take any offence. As I've said above, if you value his work as much as I do Chris Cornell's, then you have my condolences.

ah, ok. I see I've misread your Ailes point as a response to my original comment, sorry.

idk, I think that if you're successful enough to be the subject of a Wikipedia page you've got a responsibility to not be an asshole. Given how many 'beloved' British figures have turned out so much worse, I guess I should be grateful for small mercies though.

My comment wasn't intended to come across as 'dancing on his grave', and I'm sorry if that's what it looked like to you. I'm still shaken and torn up by Chris Cornell's death, so if Moore's work meant anything as much to you as Superunknown does to me, then you have my sincere condolences.

I don't really want to get into a debate about tax – those numbers do look crazy though, even to a left-winger like me who believes in redistribution of wealth. I think my point that he was – pun unavoidable – no saint still stands. As I'm still reeling from Chris Cornell's death it's dismaying to see someone who

Maybe my point/link doesn't translate well to a non-UK audience, but the page that I linked to also demonstrates his long links to the Conservative party – as a serial apologist for them, he's kind of analogous to Kellyanne Conway, or maybe Scott Baio would be a more accurate comparison.

I just checked the tracklists for each, preparing to argue that ACLOTM is better than MV, and it turns out that my nostalgia for the former is based pretty much entirely on 'Megalomaniac' and 'Made For TV Movie'. MV has 'Nice To Know You' and 'Circles' so it's already better.

'Light Grenades' sucked except for one fairly generic song, so I'm prepared to back your assessment without having listened to any more recent albums either.

Like a lot of people here I suspect, I've been listening to the Soundgarden back catalogue since this morning. It was the shuffle-combo of 'Limo Wreck' and '4th of July' that nearly had me blubbering at my desk.
