alla sayyad is a much more competent reporter, thank god. i was confused about how she was factoring into the show at first, but was only pleased with how she was utilised. more of her/that in season 3, please.

i think the closest to unaccented you ever get is a flat midwestern accent- what heath ledger went for as the joker, minus the tom waitsyness

angela bassett AND patty lupone were criminally underutilised in this season.

wow, it'd be nice if i could condense all my thoughts about this episode into one comment. but was i the only one who was a little surprised that they gave so little time (re: absolutely none, beyond the opening montage) to the aftershocks of clay's death beyond gemma's general unhinged-ness? how he was so summarily

besides cara cara, diosa and colette's, have any of the other MCs been shown to have business in escorts/prostitutes/porn? it seems like every time they have a pow wow to reassure each other about a gun issue, there's some promise that the drug and pussy game won't change- and it makes no goddamn sense to me.

and is it just me, or are the writers chalking it up to his sexual orientation crisis?

i'm curious as to what the circumstances would have to look like for that to happen. some time would have to elapse for her to be finished with her program, and gemma would presumably have to have kicked it for jax to turn to wendy, of all people, i think.

i'd like to hope and wish that's the case because then it makes a marginal difference, but it's hard to tell because juice had absolutely 0 emotion about the whole thing.

maybe she gets crossfaded and kills those too

also, who is drea de matteo fucking that we're looking at season 7 and wendy is still around for no apparent reason

it's passable more often than not, but his vowels have always gotten to me- it was more obvious in earlier seasons when every other word he said was tara or abel.

i guess i see her actual murder as more as emblematic of gemma's delusions about her continued relevance/importance to the club, and what she feels is her duty as jax's mother than as a trickle-down of club business. as for how she wound up in that position, i get your point.

a gun would have made more sense, given that gemma's been known to pull a piece on someone over a parking spot.

hey now, she's been upgraded to bisexual junkie.

i love charlie, but his american accent is just /weird/ sometimes.

i didn't think that far ahead, but knowing that juice was a loose cannon and seeing the dead-ness in his eyes, i was so certain he was going to finish it. gemma seemed to be, too, watching her face and how she wasn't sure if she should try to crawl away from him or not.

i don't think tara's death serves as a real consequence for jax's repeated lies about getting out of the club, because club business wasn't responsible for her death- it was unser being a shitty gossip and gemma being gemma.

i don't think he went to unser, i think unser just heard through the impossibly gossipy charming pd grapevine about it.

for a fleeting moment, one of the excruciating pauses had me thinking that just maybe juice was going to put gemma & us out of our misery and i was excited by that possibility.

was the bird (supposed to be) a dove? i was trying to rationalize some dove = hope, killed by crow = death symbolism but didn't care enough
