i was glad they mentioned it, too! i guess the difference is that gemma's lies to protect her family are generally more omissions of/recrafting the truth, whereas tara's were intentionally hurtful fabrications? or that gemma would never lie/falsify something as major as a baby? i think where tara misinterpreted

i guess i missed something last week or the week before- i know gemma mentioned to margaret that she just needed something more concrete than the word of a former junkie, but i didn't know wendy had cracked to the point of using again until this episode.

i think wendy's junkie bitch label has been permanent since episode 1- i can imagine its hard for some of the characters to forgive & forget that her habit could have lead to abel not making it + her attempt to get him back later.

gemma's probably gonna have to eat those words when/if tara finally plays her hand and tells jax what she knows about gemma, clay, and jt.

he'd never kill tara but gemma certainly seemed prepared to- they were both packing heat when she went over there to spook her.

i think everyone was fairly sympathetic to tara until jax told them what was up, and its not like he was telling them the whole story so they could pick sides.

wendy seemed to do a pretty good job of that herself this time, though.

i thought that opie was supposed to be the ophelia? granted, tara makes sense, but then who was opie?

- my boyfriend just started watching the show, and is maybe 3/4 through season 1 at this point, and is already griping about the music montages. i can only laugh and feel a little dead inside at how much i'm willing to put up with for this stupid show.

i got the impression that tara doesn't know as much about the circumstances around JT's death as she think she does- am i alone in that?

calling gemma a skank? seriously?

her first appearance is before donna's death- i think you see her on the street right before donna decides to go to abel's coming home party

a WMG @ tvtropes has her painted as more of an angel of death, which makes more sense to me than one that's protecting people. her appearances have happened around, or set into motion, donna's death (and was also at her funeral), the zobells (and consequently, half-sack), and the couple who adopted abel.

won't it cost her jax when she, yknow, serves him divorce papers?

while the miscarriage wouldn't be more than "blood", wouldn't a doctor performing an ultrasound still be able to tell if she had even been pregnant in the first place? your uterus doesn't instantly go back to a 'nope, no baby here, officer!' state

there's definitely motivation, but there's been motivation for eons- abel was abducted and taken six thousand miles away to ireland -there were plenty of other absolutely awful things that happened even before thomas were born that would have been good moments for this great 'how do i get out of this mess' revelation

I'm kinda of the opinion she might actually be as well, because lying to Gemma about it is just asking for another broken nose.

@avclub-641aa381139a7254f52aaf4bfc5d99da:disqus i believe the enrollment demand was to cover her ass because of her blatant lie during her interview. she said she was attending the university, so she had to make sure she was actually enrolled on the chance that he followed up on her claims. i don't think it was

I haven't watched yet, but I have to know- is any light shed, one way or another, on the veracity of Tara's pregnancy? I'm still trying to figure out what a (possibly fake) pregnancy + a divorce + Wendy + revenge on Gemma all adds up to.
