I looked up the grades AV Club has given to Sherlock so far: an A, B+, and a B. Hardly considered "teetering on the edge of being outright bad" unless of course a "C" is no longer considered average. By the AV Club "Sherlock" is above average.

This has been a Steven Moffat day, he was interviewing on Fresh Air today as well. I must say it has gotten me in the mood for Sherlock & The Doctor
As I delved into above. I would like 5 seasons, with the final season being post-graduation. I would like to see the show literally fall "apart" as the characters move on and move away, as most friend groups do after college. The show itself wouldn't have a reason to continue on and wouldn't have a story. I think it…
I think I would really like 5 seasons. After they all graduate they could show the inevitable decline of the group and the growing distance between friends post college. You know something that happens in real life.
I got into The Smiths originally through the song "Asleep", I proceeded to download their entire discography believing it all to be of the similar ilk. Despite being completely surprised and little disappointed at first I ended up growing to love the rest of their music so much more.
I totally agree! Since it came out around the same time as the Illusionist and I just dismissed both of them as some boring drama about magic or something. Not horrible but just not that interesting… and then I saw The Prestige…. blew my mind
Totally agree, except about the Belle & Sebastian, I do like them. However I love Modest Mouse infinitely more. I picked them up with Good News and was surprisingly delighted to discover that their older stuff was even better.
And now we begin with movie number one that has used "We Are Young" by Fun., how many more are we going to get before the year is over. Anyone wanna give me odds, I am a gambling man, and a bad one at that.
Note: I have only seen the first episode of GIrls. However in that first episode, if I recall correctly we met about 12 people, the four main girls, two boyfriends, two parents, two "friends" that were a couple and two coworkers.
and of course you can't excuse her behavior, she lived in such a pleasant world. Definitely not one set in a horrific dystopian future where children are forced to kill each other for entertainment. Psshaw, we must hold everyone to unrealistic standards.
Well that was one of the more shitty new Who episodes, which are few and far between.
I am glad you mentioned this so that I didn't have to reveal my nerdom.
Well that tears it, I have had Cheers in my queue for months now, after watching the first couple episodes and liking only to find out my wife hates it, made me stop. But marriage or no marriage I will watch Cheers.
NOOOOOO!!!!!!!! but rewatching Party Down is one of my favorite activities… all I have left is to rewatch AD
When did we start talking about Modest Mouse…. especially in a conversation about great songs, terrible bands…. you best not be about to claim them as one… because I will rain fire and brimstone down upon you. (God is a Modest Mouse fan)
Count me in for braving the long lines, and crowded roads to walk a mile to get this.
Whoa! I knew we were backlashing Bon Iver because you know, he is popular now. But Wye Oak backlash is not approved. They have not been nominated for any Grammys nor are known by enough people for there to be cause for backlash. Please rescind this statement
So I just have to postpone my death until 2014, easy enough.
9 letters as opposed to 4…. yeah thats not a difference at all, there are more letters added to Krasinski than there are in John. I can understand getting confused about a common first name, I just thought it was an amusing juxtaposition between the correct spelling of Krasinski, a seemingly difficult name to spell…
I like how you remembered his long very Eastern European last name and spelled it correctly but then couldn't seem to remember the very short, very common name of John.
