It struck me that Dana frames the whole thing as "we killed someone," when you know that if she had been driving and Finn was in the passenger's seat, it would have been "Dana killed someone."

I also love that a lesser show would have milked this episode for some unnecessary Ben/Leslie drama.  Leslie would have freaked out about the quilt defacement and said something unforgivable about/to Ben's mom, or would have interpreted Ben's lack of confidence in her quilt plan as evidence of an insufficiency of

I love that April, after having been Ben's roommate and spending months with him in DC, is still ambivalent, at best, about being his friend.

So, the title of Best Intergovernmental TV Couple, held briefly by Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt, has been nabbed in a last-minute upset by Carrie Mathison and Nicolas Brody…."Best" being a fluid concept.

Alias did something similar in the middle of its second season, basically just exploding its entire premise in order to move the characters along to more interesting places, and it worked swimmingly for a couple of years.  Given that Homeland has superior writers and actors, I'm not too worried.
