Oh wow, I'm reading that Wired article right now and ugh… they really just handled that the wrong way. So I know it's not one solo but Buddy Guy's work on the Sweet Tea album its amazing. The tone and reverb are just perfect, and you can hear him talking/making guitar player "ahhh" and "yeahs" throughout. You can practically see a bunch of sweaty musicians just having a blast when you listen to it.
