I think you have to look at it in comparison to last week though. In that sense they did play it off as a redemption, cause things could have been so much more bleak if he just died alone in the cabin while his family despised him, his wife was facing jailtime, and Pinkman remained a slave. So it was more or less

Bobs Burgers is good. American Dad at it's best is frankly leagues beyond it. Bobs does have a handful of memorable episodes…AD has literally dozens and dozens. Last night was a great example of it's superior originality as well. A Blade Runner/Weird Science mash-up, while Bobs premiered with a tired lost in the woods

It was so awesome how he nonchalantly grabbed the Blade Runner jacket of the coat rack and swung into action.

Yes…fucking "Jenny Fromdabloc" callback with the Hardcore B.F Weekend. What a great bit to reference. I agree the Pop Quiz bit didn't really work, and I wasn't crazy about the Twins gag either, but everything else you typed there was straight up gold.

American Dad seriously parodies the coolest fucking movies. Alien, Aliens, Goodfellas, The Warriors, Kill Bill, The Omen, Little Shop Of Horrors, etc. With this one we can add Blade Runner to the list.

After now seeing it for a third time, I think a B/B+ is about right, as it is slightly disappointing compared to the best the show has to offer. Part of what made the show so great is how deeply examined most every little thing that happened, almost methodically. It was both simultaneously slow and fast, for example

I think certainly he came out on top, at least in relation to where he was last episode. He already lost everything and paid the price for his actions in that he no longer had his family, left them in ruins (and in Hanks case, dead), and the money he kept telling himself he was making for their security was

@DesertDweller79:disqus I'm right there with you man. I know it's a bit irrational as it's a fairly easy mistake to spell it "Skylar", and we aren't necessarily given an indication in the show it isn't. But still…it's fucking SKYLER and it's annoying as fuck to be reading a conversation where people are arguing and

Ozymandias was great, but it definitely didn't quite strike me as series best. "Full Measure", "Half Measure", "Crawl Space", "Better Caul Saul", "Phoenix", "Sunset", "One Minute", "Face Off", "Crazy Handful Of Nothin'" and "Four Days Out" are to me, the many high points of the show, with the absolute best being

It was certainly a little more…I dunno, "neat", then I expected. And probably the happiest ending possible given where the story had gone. But it was still extremely satisfying.

A few people were suggesting he forces them to give the kids their own money, and obviously the idea that Walt would ricin them was pretty popular. I don't think anyone predicted he would recruit Skinny Pete and Badger in his scheme to make them his bitches. That was amazing. A little fan-servicey, sure, but awesome

His eyes are so dead and lifeless he practically looked the same dead as alive.

Well, that's our show! Walt's dead. Goodnight!

What sick motherfucker thought it was appropriate to air the American Dad season premiere during the same time as the Breaking Bad series finale. That is just a straight up low blow man. Obviously I can't miss BB live…and I have no DVR. Hopefully the interwebs come through and put up AD nice and quickly, or there will

@carlos:disqus This will be very long, but I hope it helps…

@avclub-5dedb42b34e50082065a783265ce28a8:disqus Well said, couldn't agree more. I remember even Steve Heisler, the last reviewer of Parks and Rec, became a big booster of AD after initially dismissing it.

@avclub-5dedb42b34e50082065a783265ce28a8:disqus Oh, I've never made my undying love for American Dad a secret around here, and in fact I like to profess these feelings as often as I can. Hey, people bring up Parks and Community all the time, so dammit I'm gonna be that guy who brings up AD!…just fucking love that show

Eh, one could argue The Office season 5 was just as good, if not better than Parks season 5. I think both had clearly gone down from the glory years of 2-3, but the Office had a better storyline that season, with the Michael Scott Paper Company.

I think it's pretty awesome your doing this little Q&A thing here, it's always great when the writers interact with the readers. All I wanted to do is welcome you and say is it's nice to get a new set of eyes reviewing this show (which I still love, even if it has lost me on occasion the past few years). I also

Bobs is funny, but it's not even the funniest FOX show on Sunday nights. So I'd have to disagree.
