Random Roles
Malkovich would be perfect for RR. He's had some great performances in forgotten movies (Shadow of the Vampire) and has done some ridiculous crap that I'm sure he has hilarious stories about (Eragon).

Sincerity
Is anyone else confused about the level of sincerity in this band? The skinny dude says ridiculous shit but doesn't strike me as the joking around type. The girl seems like she's in on a joke though.
Ron Howard's thought process: "How shitty of a movie can I make and STILL get an Oscar nomination? Let's find out…"
The best part about seeing the Wire the 2nd time, for me at least, was when all the kids (michael, dukie, kenard, etc) show up at the beginning of season 4. Knowing how they all turn out, it's interesting seeing how they act and carry themselves as (younger) kids.
Apocalypse Now
I've always thought Apocalypse Now is a lot better when you understand where the narrative ends up taking them. The first time I saw it, it was obviously awesome but it also seemed like a series of random, isolated adventures. Seeing it again, knowing what Kurtz is really like, and knowing the mindset…
Don't put words in my mouth either - I never defended ISoYG on any moral or artistic grounds, I just said it was a movie of cultural interest, which it obviously is (at least within American film).
They should use that new software to give Christina Hendricks an ass like Elke. And then, just for fun, maybe the voice of Gilbert Gottfried. The cognitive dissonance would be so extreme, the world would just stop having sex.
Harry Brown was pretty good in that the thugs were so cartoonishly evil that you really, really wanted to see Michael Caine fuck with their world (spoiler alert - he does).
Comparing, not equating. They're both movies of cultural/technical interest, but when you strip them of their historical context (i.e. remake them), all that is left is the ugliness.
Zach Galifiniakis can LITERALLY be in everything these days
This is desperately needed
This must come as such a sweet relief for producers. They're always scrambling, desperately trying to find anyone willing to act in things. Now they just need one person to do all the acting.
Disgusting
Next up: A gritty reboot of "Birth of a Nation"
Much more telling description of that movie - "in the end I think they'll make their money back"
I saw Dan Aykroyd at a liquor store promote his vodka about a year ago. A little kid (about 12) waited in line and gave him a copy of Ghostbusters to sign and was so excited he was literally shaking. Aykroyd (who looked to be about 300 lbs) signed it and tossed in in the kid's direction without even making eye contact…
That was terrible
Bill Hicks is a hilarious, and one of the best comedians ever, but that clip was some seriously low-rent, unfunny "Kung Pow"-level bullshit. I can't really imagine having to deal with 90 more minutes of that.
Uwe Boll will be directing this, right?
That's what he does isn't it? That's who they call when they need a movie version of a videogame.
I assume people were more eloquent and poetic in the '40s.
Comparing him to Troy Duffy is beyond the pale. His public persona is a little arrogant, but at least he's not the human personification of douche. And 3 Kings is an above-average action/adventure and not one of the most legendarily shitty rip-offs of all time, so he's got that over Duffy as well.
Kevin Costner has been in more good movies, but generally they're good regardless of (or sometimes in spite of), his wooden performances.
To stretch Bacon'd into full-length episodes, it should be interspersed with him making bacon sculptures of himself (ie http://www.whatdobacondo.co…
