Nice observation. Fuck.

Seeing her stoic exterior breakdown—-executed astonishingly by Edie Falco—-was a great way to lead the audience to acceptance and raw emotion. Fantastic.

Interesting. I'll wait a few weeks or maybe months but I'm really looking forward to rewatching the series.

I was always suspicious, but then wholly convinced by the finale that it was worth it. Now I'm recommending it without qualms to all my friends.

The only substantial reason I care about Emmy nods and wins is seeing if my favorite shows/people end up getting more support and attention, financially or otherwise. As this was completely independent (and seemingly one-and-done) I guess that doesn't matter. Louis did this, and already has pretty much carte blanche

Hear, hear. Falco is a master. She's a key reason I've watched the Sopranos four or five times through.

Tom (Tom Noonan.)

Was this the first episode where we caught Horace's last name? I was touched when I heard "Horace Wittel." It added one of many layers of devastation to this episode. I'm sure it's not coincidence, as Wittels had opened for Louis (which I see now Barnhouse said before me.)

I watched the episode yesterday and anxiously awaited the review, but it didn't go up before I headed to my friend's place. Reading it now, sleep-deprived after drinking, one of the later paragraphs in the review brought me back to tears.

Agreed. Great reviews.

Thank Christ the mind wanders so we can have productions such as this.

He's a vampire. SPIN-OFF!

He did step into that role rather deftly. His acting overall in this series was top-notch.

Thanks Amelie! I fucking abhor those H & R Block commercials/that smug sonofabitch.

I didn't read Eliot til my mid-20's. I like him okay but there are probably 100 poets I'd rather read.

Ditto. It's one of my favorite curse words, too.

It's National Poetry Month! Perhaps the greatest April Fool's gag!
Seriously, though, check out the poetry of Kay Ryan. She has an intoxicating way with rhyme.

Great cast! Looks like garbage!

Fair enough.

Hey! You know, you really are a God-hole!
