My wife doesn't like really violent and gory movies. She does, however, like Kill Bill. She says it's because the violence is almost cartoon-like. Ironically, she feels the animated sequence in Kill Bill is the most disturbing.

I should say that George being saved financially (and from jail) by his friends was always going to happen… assuming he didn't jump off the bridge.

I always laugh when George tells Mr. Welch, "Gives me a chance to tell you what I really think of your wife." after he's just insulted the heck out of her.

I agree with you mostly. His ultimate reward isn't that all of his friends came to help him. George being saved by his friends was always going to happen (most likely after he was hauled off to jail). The fact that he stormed out of his house in a rage just accelerated the events.
