The thing is, in the UK, it really didn't tank. Areas of the press lapped this awful shit right up, totally buying into Gervais' sickening treacly unearned schmaltz. And a lot of people I know who I'd consider discerning viewers for the most part gave it a thumbs up, too. I think there's a lot of people who still

Ron Perlman, Dayton Callie, Katey Sagal and Jimmy Smitts are good and all, but you know who I really want to see getting an extended arc? The guitarist from Jane's Addiction!

It looks like they're going to. I'll excuse it if they feature a comically mismatched Scrabble game.

My favourite Todd bit was was when Uncle Jack was sitting down with Walt and asked if Jesse was some kind of badass. And we see Todd smirking and shaking his head, like "nah, Jesse couldn't even kill a kid!". There's got to be a battle of the Heisenberg proteges coming up, no?

It might just be a credits thing. It's like how certain characters in The Wire were officially in all 60(?) episodes, despite meeting their makers a few episodes before the end.

I think you might have it, you know. Jesse sneaks out of the car. Grabs a pistol, takes Walt hostage. Jack and co will have to let him go. Maybe he takes Hank with him too? I can't see them killing off Hank AND Jesse at this point, so they're going to need some way of sneaking out of this big ol' firefight.

I just watched the trailer for Prisoners - I'm sure I'm mistaken, but is Jake Gyllenhaal's character called "Detective Low Key"? As a contrast to Hugh Jackman's Mr Shoutberg?

Great song. The Mollusk is one of the few truly effective concept albums in my book.

Woah woah woah. Do some research, pal. She wasn't "underage" in the UK when this shit came out.

I quite like this song even though a lot of Kurt B's issues are on the money (i.e the vagueness/vapidness/laziness of most of the lyrics). I think the way to interpret it, though, is precisely as he says. It's a dumb girl making these grand promises about never, ever, ever getting back together with this one dude, but

I thought This Is The End was funnier, but not as good of a film. This is more of a gentle-chuckler than a raucous-laffer.

Stay out of my territory.

Every now and then I like to weigh up how much I'd be willing to pay for the final episodes of Breaking Bad, here and now. At this point, I'm probably down to about £40, but if Gilligan or Cranston or whoever burst in waving the DVD in my face and demanding £80, I'd probably pay up.

YES! That's where I know her from, thank you. That was pissing me off all episode. While I'm here, I'll say that this was one of the most boring episodes to date. Why did Charlie hand the dictaphone over to Chris Messina?! And other complaints. What a silly show.

Me too. It's pretty good. I'd rate the trilogy Shaun/World's/Fuzz

Lord Sugar, thank you very much.

Is it really "Re-Pitt-ation"? I was hearing it as just "Brad reputation", which is already beyond bad enough.

Stringer Bellson Mandela? …no?

Monomania's my #1 i think but Modern Vamps is well up there. Yo La Tengo's latest is also a gift that keeps on giving.
