I've never really been certain that generic rage issues are really the 'thing' behind werewolf mythology. Addiction certainly lines up pretty well vampires, though there are other things happening there too obviously, but I always thought werewolves were something a little beyond anger.

Well, it's not as bad as Australia in most ways, but, ironically, if you're going neolithic the coastline is totes not the place to be. Some of that depends, I'd guess, on your standards for proper training and how much you think the products and structures of the prior civilization would give them a head start.
