As someone who has to work with a lot of archivists, I'm certainly also worried about the storage and translations problems digital brings. Film isn't without its faults in this regard, obviously, and the best solution is to archive in as many formats as possible, but I'm amazed by the level of degradation in low…

It depends on how you ask people about God. 92% is probably right for every possible description of God. 5% is self-identifying atheists. 85% is self identifying theists who are actually comfortable with the term God. I've seen survey date where the variance between terms is even higher for Scandinavian nations.

Yeah, "Our Neighbors are Crap" is a very easy headline. I remember the Economist taking the brave stance of not participating in the 'American Schools: As Stupid as they are Insane?' genre of British journalism with the defense: 'There are tens of thousands of American school districts, it would be impossible for a…

With a little bit of leavening, Nigel might not be a bad school priest or campus minister. We know he can do some actual pastoral care (just that the Rev never sees him do it) and his insistence on following the rules is something a lot of campus programs really need in the back office. If he had a little bit of art…

Well with comedy, you just have to recommend, describe some of the premise and what about it makes you react and that's all you can do.
