Kenan is one-note and so is Wiig most of the time. But Wiig's timing is totally there. That's not her problem. Her problem is that most of her characters are shrill. Kenan's are just loud.

Thank you, Lloyd. I don't understand the love for Kenan. If you close your eyes when he's doing his "yelling black guy" stuff, you'd never know his character. They all sound the same.

The tone felt deeply serious. I would watch it as a drama more than a comedy. I love this show, and tonight I thought it sacrificed "That's hilarious" for "Hmmm…that's pretty clever."

I love imagining Yee Yee as the guy in his avatar sitting at the table in his grandmother's kitchen watching PiR on a 13-inch black & white screen.
