Trufax: I once (well, more than once, I really mean "once upon a time") had carnal knowledge of a woman who claimed to have known Pusser back in the day; she said that when her then-husband would physically abuse her, Buford would come around and threaten to kick his ass if he didn't quit it. Sadly, she never knew the

Hicks is badly overrated. Yes, some of his stuff is pretty brilliant, but he also depends on a certain amount of homophobia (in his early routines, he'd call audience members "fags", and even later when he'd given that up he still liked to depict politicians sucking Satan's cock), and there have been a lot of mass

Aside from her chronic ellipses abuse, Blume doesn't have much of a style (and if you think that that's just because she's writing down for teenagers, Wifey isn't much better), but you can't really deny her earnestness in wanting to include sexuality in books about and for adolescents; for me, Forever's big message is

If Cleary can summon her inner Ramona, then Blume is fucked, and not in the funsexy way.

Nah, I loved him on Malcolm in the Middle but I really don't see his potential as a dramatic actor.

Hells yeah. Call it Methed Up.

If Fassbender did a movie about Bowie in Berlin around the "Heroes" period, I think that I'd live in the theater for as long as the movie's run lasted.

I don't like to think of it as "Cusack/Quaid" because they're both pretty good comic actors (well, Quaid was until he went bugfuck crazy). Really, there aren't any particularly weak cast members there, in the way that at least a couple of the 80 cast seemed to be in a Comedy Acting college course that they're taking

I thought I'd read about depression somewhere, although that may have been speculation due to his death being ruled a suicide. The F-word incident didn't really slow his career down that much after a few years of being out of work; look him up on IMDB, and compare his resume to that of, say, Joe Piscopo.

@avclub-10e60fa84b4c7c8d1f0c166bd731058a:disqus , he wasn't too bad—he and Nora Dunn had a nice recurring bit as show biz gossip types that I like. Of course, he might have been better if he hadn't been getting ripped to the tits on coke every night.
