I much prefer the "accessible" Beefheart; Clear Spot and Milk are by FAR my favorites, and I actually dislike Trout—I just don't think it's very good. He's got much better weirdness later in his catalog.

Yeah, Clear Spot is the shit. Not the Beefheart…e…ist, I suppose, but definitely my favorite.
