BIG FUN
Amazing record, just listened to it last night. Different sessions, players, but very cohesive.
It also has to be stressed what Teo Macero did for Miles in terms of production…creating the sound of those records, just groundbreaking.

I have listened to Shangaan Electro (but don't own it)…and yes, it is awesome. Love that stuff, but do find it wears a bit thin after a while, just track to track, but really interesting. And that whole Footwork and Juke shit is just out there. The label Planet Mu is about to put out a double of some of it. Actually

Agreed. Saw them on the first Lollapalooza, I think he was on stage for all of 20 minutes. Saw him again years later, amazing. and btw, Helmet opened that show, now that band fucking killed it live. As much as I have never really cared for Rollins, I'll give it to him for that band, remembering those shows.

Try to make that first show in a theater, it'll leave a lasting, stronger impression.

Many….
The Ramones
Jane's Addiction (at one time, amazing)
Iggy Pop
Bjork
Radiohead
Deerhoof
Femi Kuti
Ravi Shankar
The Vandals

Arcade Fire
Turbonegro

A bit let down…but he did just come out of a coma
I just got through it and yeah, some of it, the music aside, doesn't translate so well. Love the guy, but page after page of too much back patting…coming from a pretty humble guy. Just found it pretty flawed. And not enough Eno.

Retire, get sick, murdered, throw your career away, never get a second shot….

I'm sure you're right there. And speakin of comics and Palin, as Dana Gould said about her reality show the other day…."Access Hollywood is "reporting" on Palin's "reality show". Three layers of nothing - like a photo of a drawing of a hologram" That is funny.

Me too…and it goes back to the 70's, right? I still have boxes of those. It ended up, they could not compete with Hit Parader and Rip. Nothin' better than those Circus letters…"somethin, somethin…so and so are posers…Judas Priest rules". Those should all be collected in a book now.

Word.

Man, I'm sure….
not only Holly and Eddie Cochran, but Otis Redding would have made anther true masterpiece.

Bucky, that is fucking hilarious.

What's….
Franco Columbu huntin' then?

Turning rebellion into money.
All over people changing their votes
Along with their overcoats
If Adolf Hitler flew in today
They'd send a limousine anyway

On stage: Both Perry Farrell and David Lee Roth bite it hard…both cases, hilarious.

Night of the Lepus
That's what they should remake. Rabbits are as scary as ever.
