Hell yes to Bottle Rocket and Repo Man, and 12 Angry Men , I'll pass on Rushmore and Tenenbaums - just me. And Warren, you know it, second anything with Dern, Farnsworth, Oates, Stanton the list goes on….speaking of which

So many impressions left on you growing up.
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (78), Fade to Black, Magic, Alien, Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, Black Christmas, Bad Ronald, Night of the Scarecrow, The Town that Dreaded Sundown, Peeping Tom, Halloween, The Thing, Christine, Curtains (you know

Yeah, I read "Helter Skelter" years ago, and right after I read it, I rented the 1973 doc "Manson"…and right around that same time, I watched "The Tenant". Between those three, all summer I was walking around unnerved.

I was just sick, and all about the 70's
because there is nothing like watching Jaws, Soylent Green, Solaris, The Parallax View, Klute - all with one eye open and the sound down.
Or listening to any ambient era Eno or Cluster record while borderline hallucinating - good times.

"Sssssss"
gotta be the best title ever, or maybe "Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mama's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feeling So Sad"

I love X, love Doe, but yeah, Black Flag…much better band. And you know who's better than both?….that's right, FEAR.

Golf courses. sadly (to protect white collar crime)

Done what?

Say what you will, The Bay City Rollers rocked, "No Bay City Rollers, no Ramones" - Tommy Ramone.

Not as fun fact: Wild Honey is awesome, you are not wrong there.

@ Warren, what's up guy?

Death
It's only been a few months, but I can't say enough about this record. If you don't own it it, if you don't love it, you might be an asshole.

Many will be mentioned in the next few hours, but yeah, it's The Ramones, no question. I saw them a half a dozen times, and each show I was reminded "national fucking treasure". After them….maybe The Dickies?

Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros
"Minstrel Boy'.It probably doesn't fit, but you know it rocks, and every list needs some Strummer.

Yeah, I'd agree, probably Future Days. But Ege Bamyasi is a masterpiece (the second side alone, Vitamin C, Soup, Spoon) An amazing run of records - say, 70 - 74.You can't go wrong.

The 'Grinder Girl" may not have been consenting…."no speak english…and I can't hear you"

Doc, same thing all round - just saw 'em not long ago, and even at Pitchfork last summer, there were moments on stage when you could tell D. was not happy with the guy. There was only one weak link up there, and it was Flav. And yeah, the interesting thing was the crowd goosenecking at the guy like a carwreck, just

Yeah, great film, you can't remake that. You mean a full DVD release right? That would be nice…a Balaban commentary track…imagine the stammering.

Yeah, self-referential?…I don't recall that. You mean that Eddie Cochran ("gonna make that girl mine") knockoff…over that truly bad Grease meets Porky's intro. That's awesome? You're shittin' me right?
Netflix Losin' It.

No, sadly not at all, no Rick Dees, no David Naughton ("Makin' It" ) , no "Are You Ready For The Summer"…nothin'.Another reason this film sucks.
